Captured ship: Success of London (master Anthony Thorne). [first capture]
History: an English merchant ship (ketch, 30 tons) bound from Newfoundland to London, laden with fish, and train oil; first taken by a French privateer and then retaken in November 1692 off the Scilly Isles by HMS Crown(Thomas Warren commanding), and brought into Plymouth.
