Captured ship: Sturgeon or Steur of Altona (master Jacob Steur).
History: a Danish merchant ship (180 tons) bound from Nantes to Glückstadt, laden with syrup, brandy, wine, ginger, and indigo; taken on 1/11 July 1691 off Cape Clear by the privateer Swallow (William Bridges commanding), and brought into the Downs.
