Captured ship: Stadt of Stade (master Valentine Blom).
History: a Swedish merchant ship (80 tons) bound from Hamburg to Lisbon, laden with pipestaves, iron, beer, boxes, cloves, nutmeg, cinnamon, and wire; taken on 24 August / 3 September off Rye by HMS Hind Ketch (George Warren commanding), and brought into Dover.
