Captured ship: St Esprit or Holy Spirit of Dieppe (master François Dupius).
History: a French merchant ship (60 tons, 6 men and a boy) bound from La Rochelle to Dieppe, laden with salt; taken in March 1691 by HMS Advice (Edward Boys commanding), and brought into Portsmouth or Plymouth.
