Captured ship: Spy of St Malo (commander Philip Walsh).
History: a French or Irish Jacobite privateer (frigate, 80 tons, 10 guns, abandoned by its crew) bound from St Malo on a cruise; taken on 15 /25 June 1695 at Cape Clare, where they were driven ashore and the crew escaped, by HMS Dreadnought (Thomas Cole commanding), and brought into Kinsale.
