Folios 502-503: Andrew Smith, Regulating Officer, Greenock. States the case of William Robertson, said to be the Mate of the Royal Charlotte, who was impressed on the quay of the West Harbour while returning to his vessel from visiting a friend.
Folios 504-505: enclosure with folios 502-503: Petition dated 17 August 1812 by Sarah Robertson, Greenock, spouse of William Robertson. Mate, and currently on board HMS Rosa. Petitions that her husband acted as the Mate of the Royal Charlotte of Glasgow, commanded by Alexander Morris, for about two years and which has only recently returned from Brazil and with her cargo not yet discharged. Fears her husband's prospects of being promoted will be disappointed if he is detained and offers to pay a sum of money for his release from impressment.
