Folios 434-435: William Isaac Scott, HMS Freya , Spithead. Reports that Thomas Sydenham, a Commissioner to South America, embarked on HMS Freya at Cadiz on 20 July 1812 for a passage to Lisbon as per the orders of Rear Admiral Sir Arthur Kaye Legge and at the request of His Excellency Sir Henry Wellesley, and landed at Lisbon on 31 July 1812. Requests the usual allowance to be paid.
Folio 436: enclosure with folios 434-435. Letter dated 17 July 1812 by Sir Arthur Kaye Legge, Rear Admiral, HMS Revenge, Cadiz Bay, to William Isaac Scott, HMS Freya. Copy of letter directing D Scott to receive on HMS Freya, Thomas Sydenham, one of the Commissioners appointed to go to South America and take him to Lisbon. Sir Henry Wellesley also mentioned.
