Folios 366-367: Petition from the Press Gang at Gravesend dated 11 July 1812 to James Keith Shepard, Captain and Regulating Officer at Gravesend. Asking for weekly pay to be raised to one Guinea each on account of the price of bread and other 'necessary of life'. Claim that others employed elsewhere in London in the Impress Service are being paid this amount.
