Folios 348-349: James Keith Shepard, Regulating Officer, Gravesend. Having been served a writ of Habeas Corpus for Richard [Schusmann?], gives a brief description of the man who was impressed on 26 July 1812 by Lieutenant Petley from the ship Queen, inward bound from Jamaica, at Gravesend. He is apparently a native of the Northern States and has produced a document signed by William Lagemann.
