Folios 134-135: James Slade, HMS Experiment, Falmouth. Notes the receipt of a letter from Cornish MPs informing him that the Corporation of Falmouth have requested a memorial is presented to the Government complaining about the conduct of Lieutenant Carter and himself and that they are removed from post. Suggest that he and Lieutenant Carter should be Court Martialed if the Admiralty have any doubt about the legality and zeal in which they have carried out their duties. Believes the Mayor and Aldermen of Falmouth have been deliberately oinjuring the Impress Service in the town.
