Folios 106-107: [name?], Lieutenant, Impress Service, Greenock for Andrew Smith, Regulating Officer. Confirms that no man of the name of Alexander McConochy was sent from Greenock on HMS Elizabeth nor has any man of that name been impressed. Mentions Archibald McCaulesky, alias Archibald Lusk, who he impressed out of the brig Mary of Greenock, Hardie Master. Also mentions a man impressed by Captain Brown in the Highlands and now on board HMS Teazer which sailed from Greenock on 4 June 1812.
Folios 108-109: enclosure with folios 106-107. Letter dated 2 June 1812 by Matthew Macalister, Colonel, Barr House, Barr-Tarbert, to the Admiralty. Encloses a certificate signed by various Ministers and Elders of the Parish regarding Alexander McConochy who has been impressed by Captain Brown and taken away from his farm whose crops and cattle require his attendance.
Folios 110-111: enclosure with folios 108-109. Certificate of testimony for Alexander McConochy of the Parish of Saddell, dated 28 May 1812. States that Alexander McConochy is a tenant farmer, a widower and father of four children. Signed by Reverend Dugold Crawford, Minister of the United Parishes of Saddell and Skipness; Walter Campbell of Glencarradell; Burling, Duncan Mckinley and Robert Macbride, Elders of the Parish.
