Folios 80-81: James Keith Shepard, Regulating Officer, Gravesend. Acknowledges letter informing him that, as a result of a report by Rear Admiral Sir Thomas Williams. the rating of James Charles Stewart, impressed at Gravesend, has been advanced from Ordinary to Able Seaman. Explains that he is unable to account for having sent Moses [Bruds?] to the Nore, where he was found unserviceable, as the man in question was not received at Gravesend Rendezvous.
