Description

Folios 514-515: James Slade, HMS Experiment, Falmouth. He writes about an impressed man named Philip Dunn.

Folios 516-517: enclosure with folios 514-515. Letter dated 25 May 1812 by Captain James Slade, HMS Experiment, Falmouth. He gives a full account of his dealings with Philip Dunn. He reports on the events of his impress.

Folios 518-519: enclosure with folios 514-515. Letter dated 19 May 1812 by Navy Agent Zephania Job, Truro. He writes on behalf of the father of Philp Dunn. He records that Philp Dunn has been for three years a member of the North Cornwall Local Militia. His father also pleads his poverty but says he will pay a small sum for his release.
