Folios 282-283: James Slade, HMS Experiment, Falmouth. He refers to two letters passed to him by the Admiralty. One from Mr Beckett and the other from Mr Gregor. He is asked to consider the positioning of a gunboat in the River Fal and the type of gunboat required. This he does.
