Folios 243-244: James Slade, HMS Experiment, Falmouth. He writes about two impressed men Horatio Wilson and Richard Drew. He refers to the enclosures which he claims contain untruths. He recounts that when the Captain of HMP Lapwing landed the mails the Agent suggested he return to his ship give the crew Protections from the impress and urge them not to land for fear of the impress. However despite this warning the two men went ashore without waiting for their Protections to be given to them. He further reports that the Postmaster General has refused to interviene on their behalf.
Folio 245: enclosure with folios 243-244. A humble petition to the Lords of the Admiralty signed by ten citizens of Falmouth setting out the circumstances of the case and seeking the release of Horatio Wilson and Richard Drew.
Folio 246: enclosure with folios 243-244. Statement of Francis Pender, Mayor of Falmouth. This give an acount of the events under which Horatio Wilson and Richard Drew were impressed.
Folios 247-248: enclosure with folios 243-244. [?] Penews, Falmouth 1812 Apr 4. He writes concerning Horatio Wilson an impressed man who is the son of a Revenue Officer who served for many years. He asks for Wilson's release.
