Folios 288-289: James Slade, HMS Experiment, Falmouth. Stating that as Lieutenants who Impress such Seafaring Men whose qualifications only entitle them to be rated as Landsman but the Commissioners of His Majesty's Navy object to the Impress Lieutenants giving the Reward of Half a Guinea to the Gang notwithstanding their Lordship's Order to that effect dated 16 May 1811. If the payment is correct, the Regulating Officer requests to receive the same.
