Folios 256-257: Edward Scobell, HMS Thais, Spithead. Reporting his arrival having executed his orders of the 1 April 1811 re conveying Governor Maxwell and suite to Sierra Leon and the African Store Ship to Cape Coast. Inspected Prince Island for the convoy, received information from Captain Francis Holmes Coffin of HMS Arethusa. Left Sierra Leon on the 13 January with a convoy and the sloop Mary Anne. From the Gold Coast I have on board 15 tons of Ivory and 3 or 400 ounces of Gold Dust.
