Folio 92-93: Clement Sneyd, HMS Myrtle, Spithead. Reporting that because of gales and damage to his ship, he was prevented in proceeding to Lisbon. He attempted again to get to Lisbon but as his provisions were running low he took the decision to proceed to Spithead.
Folios 94-95: enclosure with folios 92-93. Report dated 2 October 1811 by Clement Sneyd, HMS Myrtle. Reporting that at the anchorage of Porta Praya Island off St Jago he found a schooner, Roebuck, which had slave irons and othe utensils for slaving concealed on board. Next day he found the Santa Rosa from Majorca, another slaver with 112 slaves. Both ships were taken to Sierra Leone.
Folios 96-97: enclosure with folios 92-93. Clement Sneyd, HMS Myrtle. Reporting on ships under Prtuguese and Spanish colours who had slave concealed under cargoes of rum, sugar etc. At Sierra Leone he had reports of men who bought the ships for the cargo and then sold the slaves on.
