- NOTE: the references in this index are not easily identifiable, and it is necessary to cross refer from the grantees' names as they appear to the equivalent entry in the Rolls Chapel Office series of indexes (C 275/1-88); the front part of the volume has entries for Division E; the back part for Division N, `The Yorkshire Seat'; the entries are not in alphabetical order, but mainly in order of the entries on the various close rolls; several entries in the index for 33 Chas II, which coincide with the relevant close roll for 33 Chas II (C 54/4572), refer to indentures dated 34 Chas II
