Folios 306-307: James Keith Shepard, Gravesend. Seeks approval for having delayed the order, on the advice of Mr Evans a local solicitor, to dispose of the seven deserters from HMS Malabar. Mr Evans has been employed to take statements from them for the enquiry into the conduct of Levi, a Jew, who is said to have enticed them to desert.
