Folios 294-295: James Keith Shepard, Gravesend. Request direction on how to dispose of seven deserters from HMS Malabar who were apprehended on 6 September 1810 on board the brig General Perignon and are now being held on HMS Corso. He is informed that Levi, a Jew living in Deptford, tempted them to desert. The men are: William Rustgrove, John Johnson, Alexander Brown, Joseph Sawyer, George Robinson, Henry Humphrey and William Hawker.
Folio 296: enclosure with folios 294-295. Public record office slip noting letter from James Keith Shepard of 8 September 1810, regarding the seven men enticed to desert from HMS Malabar by Levi, a Jew, has been sent to the solicitor with directions to punish the offender.
