Description

Folios 221-222: Alexander Shippard, HMS Namur at the Nore. Confirms that one able bodied Landsman would be an equivalent substitute for William Byrn, aged 15, a Boy on HMS Namur.

Folios 223-224: enclosure with folios 221-222.Letter dated 29 August 1810 by George Ridge. Asking on behalf of George Byrn whether his mother needs to find one or two substitutes to replace him.

Folios 225-226: enclosure with folios 221-222. Letter dated 28 August 1810 by Robert Randoll, 19 Craven Street, to George Ridge. Asks whether George Ridge can intervene on behalf of Martha Byrn, mother of George Byrn, and obtain an order that only one substitute is needed to replace him.

Folios 227-228: enclosure with folios 221-222. Letter dated 2 August 1810 by Robert Randoll, 19 Craven Street, to George Ridge. Asking, on behalf of Martha Byrn, for the discharge of her son George Byrn, aged 15, Boy on HMS Namur and whether any expenses can be paid rather than finding substitutes.
