Folios 179-180: Peter Spicer, Swansea. Report on Lewis Lewis who voluntarily entered the Navy as a substitute for Robert Steward on 23 July 1810. Since joining Lewis appears to have a self inflicted wound to the leg but it is not considered serious enough to render him unfit for service. Also mentions Lieutenant Heard.
Foilios 181-182: enclosure with folios 179-180. Letter dated 10 August 1810 by [A?] Lewis, Swansea, to the Admiralty. Plea for his son Lewis Lewis of Longevelach [Llangyfelach], Glamorgan currently on board HMS Elvin to be released from service, claiming he was drawn in by the parents of David Davies to replace the latter.
