Folios 246-247: George Seymour, Manchester Square, [London]. Reports that there are no guns at Portsmouth of a proper size for HMS Kingfisher. The Lieutenant was told that there was an order to fit any sloop which came into dock with carronades. William Thompson, the Boatswain who he has spoken about is now in London, and not yet appointed to any sloop. Requests he is appointed to HMS Kingfisher, and the present Boatswain to HMS Thompson. The Surgeons yesterday finished their work on Captain Seymour's face, which is likely to be a success but will keep him confined for some days. If Lord Howick wishes to send him abroad, he would prefer the Mediterranean station, as this appears to be the only one where anything is going on.
