Description

Captured ship: St François Xavier of Marseille (Jean Rome Master).

History: a French ship, bound from 'the Bastian Barbary' to Marseilles, laden with corn; taken on 10/20 October 1694 between Sardinia and Minorca by the English merchant ship Carmarthen (John Jones commanding), and brought into Livorno.

Documents: manuscript appeal papers.
