Captured ship: St Francis (Capt. Dumaresque Master).
History: a French pirate ship (500-600 tons) , run ashore and deserted at Mahila, laden with 14 iron guns and 10 elephant's teeth [ivory]; taken in 1693 in the East Indies by the three English East India Company ships, the Benjamin (John Brown commanding), Moca [Mocha] frigate (Leonard Edgcombe commanding, since deceased, and Tonqueen (Joseph Burton commanding) and brought into Mahila.
