Occupation: Coal guard.

Place of accident: Felling Tunnel, County Durham.

Injury: Severely injured

Details of accident: The market train for the Pontop Branch left at 4.30 pm and arriving at Felling station the "all right' signal being submitted the train passed into the tunnel and came into collision with a coal train which was in the tunnel. The guard of the coal train is not expected to recover
