Details of accident: He had been to Selby and had returned by the 8.10 pm train. After getting out of the train he proceeded down the line in the direction of his own house. Accompanied by another workman named Wilson who left him. It is supposed he was knocked down and killed by one of the Up trains none of the Engine drives were aware of the accident
