Folios 278-279: Thomas Searle, HMS Autumn, at sea.
Reports that he impressed from the Lambton of Sunderland, owner William Hardcastle, John Anderson. He refers to the enclosed indenture and protection but Anderson has confessed that they are fakes.
Folios 280-281: enclosure with folios 278-279. A pre-printed document, 29 August 1804, stating that By Command of their Lordships John Anderson is apprenticed to William Hardcastle and had never been to sea.
Folio 282: enclosure with folios 278-279. A printed indenture document dated 29 August 1804 binding Anderson to serve Hardcastle for three years.
Folios 283-284: enclosure with folios 278-279. Signed Philip Patton, Evan Neapean and John Barrow a printed order to Lieutenant William Anderson enabling men to be impressed if they are engaged in certain sea or river related occupations.
Folios 285-286: enclosure with folios 278-279. A second document as described at Folios 285-286 but addressed to Lieutenant Edward Libby.
