Letter from Right Honourable Lord Viscount Weymouth, His Majesty's Principal Secretary of State, to 1st Earl Harcourt [Lord Lieutenant of Ireland] enclosing the response of the Lords Commissioners of the Admiralty on the subject of the agent of the transports. Dated at St. James's. Enclosed: Folios 96-97: Letter from Sandwich, Buller, and Palliser to Lord Viscount Weymouth informing him that the business of fitting out the transports has been always carried on properly under the direction and management of the Navy Board, and their officers, and that to give effect to the Lord Lieutenant's suggestion would cause uncertainty, delay and unjustified cost.
