Description

Folios 269-270: Alexander Milner, HMS Swallow, Liverpool. Encloses a report on 13 supernumeraries afflicted with scorbutic ulcers.

Folio 271: enclosure with folios 269-270. Letter dated 18th January 1808 by Captain Alexander Milner, HMS Swallow to the Commanders of HMS. Princess and Hound and the Surgeons of HMS Swallow, Princess and Hound. Captain Colquitt reports that there a number of men on HMS Princess with Scorbutic ulcers and the men surveyed for this and the results reported to Captain Milner.

Folio 272: enclosure with folios 269-270. Letter dated 19th January 1808 by Captain Colquitt HMS Princess, Captain [..?] Hound, [.. Dalloway?] Surgeon HMS Swallow, William [Prerey?] Surgeon HMS Princess and Robert Morison Surgeon HMS Hound to Captain Alexander Milner. Concerning the survey of men with Scorbutic ulcers [Scurvy] there is list of eight named men. These appear to have been crowded in the Press room for a long time and the damp weather.
