Folio 232: Robert Stopford, HMS Spencer, Hamoaze. States Lieutenant Daniel Calloway having been this day superceded from HMS Spencer at his own request. He request that another Lieutenant be appointed in his room and that he may not be senior to Lieutenant Henderson Bain whose seniority is 22 January 1800. As another Lieutenant of HMS Spencer is at Sick Quarters he hopes the appointment will soon be in place.
