Folios 216-217: John Stiles, HMS Alcmene, off St Malo. Covering letter for the enclosed letter from John Luton of HMS Batavia as a Block Ship in the Queens Channel having served under him in HMS Cameleon and afterwards in HMS Theseus and is a valued man. He requests his discharge from HMS Batavia into HMS Alcmene as Master Gunner.
