Folios 209-210: James Stewart, HMS Monarch, off Ramsgate. In answer to his letter to you dated 29 September 1804 requesting you would reconsider his case relative to his being allowed the compensation pay for HMS Ceres as a 32 Gun Frigate. You informed him that it would be taken into consideration but as two months have elapsed without any order being sent to the Navy board for its payment. He concludes pressure of business has prevented any determination. He reminds them and request he be enabled to receive his pay for the reason alleged in that letter.
