Folios 286-287: John Simpson, HMS Tourterelle, Greenock. He encloses a letter from Captain Fatham, Regulating Officer, Greenock. Lieutenant Mitchell, the Mary tender has arrived to receive the impressed men. He awaits further orders regarding who he should discharge.
Folio 288: enclosed with folios 286-287. Letter dated 18 June 1804 by Sandford Fatham, Regulating Officer, Greenock. The Admiralty has ordered the discharge of Neil McQueen and Alexander McKecknie. He asks John Simpson to return the men so that the order can be carried out. Copy of letter from John Bassau, Admiralty Office, ordering the discharge of Neil McQueen and Alexander McKecknie.
Folio 289: enclosed with folios 286-287. Order dated 8 September 1800 by Lord St. Vincent, Thomas Troubridge, James Markham, Admiralty Commissioners, to John Simpson, HMS Tourterelle, to take station at Greenock.
