Description

Folios 277-278: John Simpson, HMS Tourterelle, Greenock. He encloses details of the government stores aboard the Lord Forbes. He has 18 supernumeries who he will send to Plymouth once Captain Fatham has provided a cutter.

Folio 279: enclosed with folios 277-278. Letter dated 23 April 1804 by John Simpson, HMS Tourterelle, Greenock, to Lutwidge Affleck, Master, the Lord Forbes, authorising him to leave Greenock on 26 April, but holding him responsible for the care of the government stores on board.
