Folios 265-266: John Simpson, HMS Tourterelle, Greenock. He informs the Admiralty that he has been arrested in the streets of Greenock on the application of the Water Baillie. This resulted from his action in apprehending 2 deserters who the Water Baillie claims to be Apprentices. He was kept in custody for 3 hours before being released.
Folio 267: enclosed with folios 265-266. Letter dated 8 March 1804 by Sandford Fatham. He names James Sommerville and Nolle Durham as two men taken from the Rendezvous and put aboard HMS Tourterelle.
Folio 268: enclosed with folios 265-266. Letter dated 10 March 1804 by John McCaul, Glasgow. A warrant issued for the arrest of John Simpson, HMS Tourterelle, so that he can be brought to Glasgow to be examined by the Water Baillie.
