Folios 123-124: Matthew Henry Scott, HMS Niobe, Falmouth. Encloses the dates of service and copies of certificates of Benjamin Soden, Clerk of HMS Niobe, and recommends him for promotion. he has been with him for 11 months during which time he has been very satisfied with his conduct.
Folios 125-126: enclosure with folios 123-124. Details of time served on HMS Andromache as Underwriter and HMS Seagull, HMS Atlantic, HMS Rowcliffe and HMS Niobe as Clerk, between March 1793 and July 1804. Copies of certificates of his service on HMS Andromache from Charles John M Mansfield, HMS Seagull from Henry Wray, HMS Atlantic from Stephen Donovan, and HMS Rowcliffe from Stephen Donovan.
