Description

Folios 228-229: William Skipsey, HMS Hector, Spithead. Reports his arrival from Malta. Shortly before he left Gibraltar HMS Belleisle passed through the Straits to the East.

Folio 230: enclosed with folios 228-229. Orders signed by Rear Admiral Sir Richard Bickerton, Commander in Chief, Mediterranean, HMS Kent, Valetta, to Captain William Skipsey HMS Hector, 16 February 1803. He is ordered to return to Portsmouth, calling at Gibraltar to deliver packets to Captain Aylmer. Counter-signed by J D Boyes on behalf of the Admiral.
