Description

Folios 265-266. Letter dated at St James's from Lord Rochford to Lord Harcourt that because of the pressing need for recruits he is to give the necessary orders authorising the recruiting parties of the regiments on the British Establishment to beat up in Ireland at large to raise 600 men. The Secretary at War has been directed to send 'forthwith' proper officers belonging to the regiments of Foot which are to be augmented on the British Establishment.
