Folios 256-257. Folios 256-257. Letter dated at Dublin Castle from Lord Harcourt to Lord Rochford enclosing:- Folio 258. A Return of the drafts present from the several regiments in Ireland now at Cork to embark under the command of Major Bruce for North America 6 March 1775. Folios 259-260. Letter dated 6 March from Major Bruce at Cork enclosing the foregoing return together with:- Folio. 261. A Return of the officers of the regiments now in North America who are to embark with the drafts and recruits under the command of Major Bruce for General Gage's army. Cork 6 March 1775. Folio 262. A return of recruits raised for the army in North America under the command of Major Bruce. Cork 6 March 1775. In his letter Major Bruce writes that he is 'afraid our success will not answer the Lord Lieutenant's expectations, but the regiments who have orders to recruit complain that the allowance of bounty money is so small they cannot give sufficient encouragement to men to enlist'.
