Folios 244-245: Samuel Sutton HMS Amazon, Greenhithe. Encloses letters from Lieutenant John Quilliam and Lieutenant John Skynner who ask to be superceded from serving on the Amazon.
Folios 246-247: enclosure with folios 244-245. Letter dated August 4th 1802 by John Quilliam to Captain Sutton. Knowing HMS Amazon ids to be paid off and considering that his affairs on shore are so deranged and unsettled, he asks for the Admiralty to put him on half pay and not to enforce him to take up a another commission.
Folios 248-249: enclosure with folios 244-245. Letter dated August 4th 1802 by John Skynner to Captain Sutton. Since the ship is on the point of being paid off, he asks for an application to be made to the Admiralty to be superceded since his private concerns require attendance on shore.
