Description

Folios 228-229: Samuel Sutton, HMS Amazon. Downs. Encloses a letter from Captain Burrows of HMS Gannet and another letter from his Lieutenant Robert Shed who asks to be superseded.

Folios 230-231: enclosure with folios 228-229. Letter dated April 27th 1802 by Lieutenant Robert Shed to Captain Burrows. The Lieutenant has been in the whole of the war and asks for leave of absence and to be superseded to attend to urgent family business.

Folios 232-233: enclosure with folios 228-229. Letter dated April 27th 1802 by Captain Burrows to the Admiralty. The Captain had no objection against the Lieutenant's wish to be superseded.
