Folios 143-144: Christopher Strachey, HMS Jalouse, Westgate Bay Margate Roads. Reports on the spirit of desertion on board. Asks for an order for a court martial for Alexander Lewis, Seaman. Lewis attempted to desert by jumping from the Jolly Boat as she was leaving the beach on that Bay. He was seized by the collar and was led to the boat, although the water was above the knees. The Jalouse will sail in 2 or 3 days, wind and weather permitting.
