Folio 114: John Stiles, HMS Alcmene, Spithead. Replying to the query concerning Peter Sunquest the ship's books record he was sent from HMS Puissant on 26th August 1801, rescued by HMS Amphitrate out of an English Merchant ship in the English Harbour in Antigua in May 1800. He was born near Stockholm. He has always behaved well. Captain Stiles apologises for delaying his reply, but received the request just as the y were leaving Lymington.
