Description

Folios 287-288: Philip Somerville, HMS Nemesis, Milford Haven. Encloses a report on the damage to his Bowsprit, he will go to Plymouth to get it repaired and leave all his extra stores with HMS Spitfire and HMS Seagull. HM Gun Brig Insolent has already sailed for Plymouth. Also encloses [not present] the state and condition of the Seagull.

Folio 289: enclosure with folios 287-288. Report of a survey on the Bowsprit of HMS Nemesis at the orders of Captain Philip Somerville and signed by David Lawson of the Nemesis, Stephen Cooper of HMS Spitfire, and George Cain [?] of HMS Insolent, Milford Haven, 31 October 1802.
