Folios 279-280: Philip Somerville, HMS Nemesis, Milford Haven. Reports his arrival and that of HM Yacht Dorset on her way to Dublin. Encloses a letter from Lieutenant Nicholas Kortright of HMS Insolent reporting his capture of the Dolphin smuggler from Guernsey. She had taken shelter in New Quay, north of Port Cardigan, but was driven out by boats from the Nemesis commanded by Lieutenant Thomas Bright. He was delayed in sending this because he was driven into Ramsay Bay on the Isle of Man by a gale.
Folios 281-282: enclosure with folios 279-280. Letter dated 29 September 1802 from Lieutenant Nicholas Kortright, HM Gun Brig Insolent, at sea, Bardsey Island bearing E by S 5 leagues to Captain Philip Somerville, HMS Nemesis, Milford Haven. Reports the capture of the Dolphin from Guernsey, a smuggler carrying spirits and tobacco.
