Description

Folios 277-278: Philip Somerville, HMS Nemesis, Milford Haven. Acknowledges the receipt of the letter of 7 September with directions for reducing the complement of the ships in his squadron, and a duplicate of a letter sent to Holy Head on 26 August which had never reached him. The necessary orders have been given to his ships, and Lieutenant William Peake in HMS Escort will take the surplus men to Plymouth and return to cruising between Lundy Island and St David's Head. Encloses [not present] the state and condition of each of the ships in his squadron.
