Folios 259-260: Philip Somerville, HMS Eugenie, the Downs. Acknowledges the receipt of two letters, the first directing him to apply to Commissioner Sir Charles Saxton at Portsmouth for his appointment to HMS Nemesis and the second directing him to join that ship immediately at Spithead. Asks whether he should wait until he is superceded aboard the Eugenie or leave her in charge of Lieutenant Fitzgerald.
