Folios 194-195: Alexander Skene, HMS La Determinée, Portsmouth. Encloses [not present] a copy of his letter to the Navy Board requesting an alteration to the ship and their reply. Asks the Admiralty to either direct the Board to allow the alteration, or ask the officers of the Dockyard to report their opinion.
Folio 196: enclosed with folios 194-195. Letter dated 21 August 1802 from the Navy Board to Captain Alexander Skene, HMS La Determinée, Portsmouth. . Acknowledges his request for alterations, he must apply for permission from the Admiralty.
